TEDxAsburyPark Announces Live Audition for Aspiring CHAOS Speakers

CHAOS: The void, the unknown, the absurd, the mess, the mystery. The only consistency is inconsistency.

ASBURY PARK, N.J.—TEDxAsburyPark, one of the largest and highest-rated TEDx conferences on the East Coast, is pleased to announce the first of two Live Auditions for its 2019 event. The CHAOS Live Audition #1 will be held on November 15, 2018, at the Paramount Theatre on the Asbury Park Boardwalk.

Live Audition #1 is a free event and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $10-25. The doors will open at 6:30 pm; the event begins at 7 pm. A limited number of audience seats will be available on the Paramount Theatre stage. On-stage seating will be available on a first-come basis, with overflow seating in the theatre seats for more than 1,500 attendees.

To apply to speak at Live Audition #1, visit TEDxAsburyPark.com by October 25 to complete the application.

TEDxAsburyPark’s 2019 event, themed CHAOS, will be held on May 18, 2019. In its seventh year, TEDxAsburyPark will feature a full day of entertainment, including TED-style talks by myriad speakers as well as art, musical acts, comedy, dance, and theatrical performances all tied to this year’s theme of CHAOS.

TEDxAsburyPark is an annual volunteer-organized event dedicated to education, community, innovation, and “ideas worth spreading.” Each year, a different theme culminates in a stimulating day of non-fiction theater. Well over 100 businesses, nonprofit leaders, professionals, students from local universities, and sponsors plan, manage and fund the all-day event.

Individuals interested in speaking or performing at CHAOS can also submit their applications at TEDxAsburyPark.com, now through December 15, 2018.
